This is definitely a sign of what is yet to come from the US-Mexico trade. The rise of nearshoring is already showing its results even when outbound volumes from Laredo have decreased since last week.
In addition, the border is getting heavily invested on which increases capacity for commercial vehicles to cross the border and significantly reduce processing times on the way into the US.
