In August, trucks transported goods valued at $38 billion across the Canada-U.S. border, marking an increase of $2 billion from the previous year, as noted by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Yet, when considering all transportation methods, there was a 1.7% decrease in overall North American cross-border trade, largely influenced by a dip in the values of oil and energy commodities.
