Between May 17 to the 19th, the North America’s annual Roadcheck inspection will include wheel ends. According to Truck News, “The top five vehicle-related violations included brake systems (30.2%), cargo securement (17.8%), lights (12.4%), tires (12%), and brake adjustment (10.9%).” This is why there are now some incentives to those who pass a level 1 or 5 North American Standard inspection.

I think it is important to do these regular verifications/ spot checks. Rewarding carriers with a potential 3-month free pass is a great incentive to keep their vehicles in proper working order. It keeps everyone on the roads safe and business continues for the trucking companies without unnecessary interruption.
