The federal government of Canada has announced an investment of $12.5 million for an infrastructure project at the Port of Belledune.

The funding will install fixed conveyors that will link the deep-water terminal to the renovate existing storage, staging area, and will build a new warehouses, and transfer tower. The $25 million project as a whole will create a dry bulk conveyor loop between two terminals. These will facilitate reloading and transshipment at the port.

This is a great project that will increase the volume of bulk cargo that the Port of Bellendune can handle, making it easier to move goods between various modes of transportation.
